Louis Learns More

Our little boy amazing me more and more everyday. Children really do grow up too fast. I am grateful for my husband, and blessed by the Lord to be able to have this opportunity to stay at home more this year. I know most of my friends started 'back to school' yesterday; and I officially started maternity leave-thanks to wez. Still waiting on baby, but R&R until then.

Louis is saying so many words now, it's something new everyday. Just this past week we've heard 'black, pink, tie (for tie my robe/dressing gown), cup(rather than baba), snack(even though the s-blend isn't there-haha for SLPs), cook, soap, ice, yum-yum. He's also using 2 words: "move doggie", "bye-bye mommy/daddy", "more please", "I fall", 'it broke." He sees airplanes, which he calls helicopters(hecop) and says 'nana' b/c he thinks his nana is always flying in them now!! He also likes to turn his little cars over and fix them with his tools-been watching daddy too much!

He begins his preschool, Christian Heritage Montessori School next Tues, and he's also been signed up for gymnastics class-once a week at Island Gymnastics! I can't wait. I think this routine and extra attention will help when his little brother arrives-which will hopefully be any day now!

I love being able to see Louis transform into a little boy....although it is too fast for me and his dad. It'll be hard to believe that he was a baby once, and now he's growing up so fast. We've already started planning his 2nd birthday party-Thomas the Tank theme-he loves that choo-choo.

Well, I must sign off for now! Take care

July 2009

Well....it's almost time to welcome Wesley Robert into the world....we have about 2  weeks til the due date. It's overwhelming, but exciting, along with 100 other emotions we're feeling. I am in a serious nesting stage....and God Bless my husband, after a hard day of work, he comes home and helps vacuum, mop, dust, move furniture and take care of Louis!!! I love you, Wez!!

Anyway, we've been busy this summer, working and play. We just had  a great trip to  NC with some of the Boone Girls and families.

Louis is getting so big now....using 2 words, potty training (going well so far), and sooooo busy. We are hoping that this new furniture and Thomas decor will keep him in his room, in his bed so it won't be too crazy when his little brother arrives. He played so well with his friends, Levi, Grayson and Layla this weekend. We took them to Lazy 5 Ranch, and it was a blast....lots of hanging out and catching up. I was completely surprised that all the Boone Baby Boys were so well behaved...you know how boys can be-but they were terrific-must take after mommies!

Enjoy your summer, or what's left!!!

Louis' 1st trip to Disney

Well, it was one week ago today that we were trekking all over the Magic Kingdom, finishing up at midnight, yes that's right 12am!!!! Louis had a blast, and so did mommy and daddy! It was a surprise visit for Louis and daddy. We spent Friday night hanging at the hotel, Pop Century, in Disney; Saturday-character breakfast at the Ohana's then to the Magic Kingdom; Sunday- Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney-dining at the Rainforest Cafe; Monday-Typhoon Lagoon and dined at T-Rex Cafe-awesome food and decor!

All of it was special. It's impossible to explain the joy you get from watching your little baby have such a wonderful time. Mommy and daddy shared teary eyes when Louis lit up at Stitch during breakfast, it was the moment we hoped, and were blessed enough to experience. Like I said, how can you explain such a feeling? We thanked God that we can provide him with special opportunities like this. Hopefully we'll always be able to, but if not, spending time at home together is special too! Life is short, make the most of it-where ever you are, count your blessings.

He was fascinated with everything- lights, fireworks, other children, and all of the rides. He was a super trooper the entire time-only two episodes of the pre-terrible twos:) I guess if I can count the times, then it's not too bad, right?

The most memorable moments were watching Louis play in any type of water-he loves it!; him getting so excited over his 7$ (yes, 7 bucks for a balloon) Mickey Mouse balloon at 11:40pm at night in the Magic Kingdom; seeing him love Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch at breakfast, and eating his Mickey ice cream bar.

We look forward to doing it again in a few years!

It's been a while, but for those that don't know....we are having another boy!!! Wesley Robert, aka: Bobby Barrell-named after Wez' grandpa! We are all really excited.

We also just returned from Disney Vacation! It was Louis' first visit and he thoroughly enjoyed himself-and mommy and daddy enjoyed seeing his face light up! I'll post more soon with pictures!

Greetings. I am entering my new update on our MacBook Pro-like it so far, but we need bonding time to get used to things. We decided to spend some of our tax money on technology!!! Look OUT!!! We have a new laptop and camera-Wez has been so anxious to get one.

Louis visited the doctor on Tuesday, and apparently has allergies to pollen. He's on Claritin and RX eye drops-his little eyes look so pitiful, but his personality is great. He was pretty sleepless Sat-Mon night, but much better now!

Wez has a guy weekend coming up and mommy is off to the spa! Not much else going on now. Nana and Grandad Barrell are coming for a visit in May, and a surprise vacation for my boys. We have a doctor's visit on the 27th to see what we are having-boy or girl?????

Love and God Bless

Boone Girl Visit in Ashevegas

WOW! What an awesome weekend. I was so sad to be away from Louis (Boogie) and my wonderful husband, Wez. I know they've had a brilliant weekend riding 4-Wheelers/quads, going to Tractor and Equipment Company and the motorcycle shop.

I was in Asheville,NC at Sarah's with Cole, Meek and Beth (and SPD). We had such a great time catching up, hanging out and especially eating-at Marco's Pizza, Sarah's Kitchen, Doc Chey's, the Hop, Tupelo Honey and wherever we decide to get breakfast. We all missed our babies-of course Sarah had Oscar with her. But we, BGs/Boone Girls, could not get enough of each other, or enough food! It was a great time with my girls, but missed my boys every minutes. It's one of those bittersweet times.

I can't wait till we all get together again! We're already working on it. Love you girls. See my boys soon.

Highlights: Meka being so afraid of Oscar and bruising my arm to protect her; exposing out first waiter to breast feeding and period stories, ultrasound pictures and loads of girlie stuff; Beth and her intelligent comments :); Sarah being a lovely house host with coffee and breakfast treats; and Cole being pregnant again, this time with TWINS!-she's due 6 weeks after me.

First Entry

Welcome. I am so excited to finally get started with this blog to keep our wonderful friends and family updated with our crazy lives. It's crazy, but loving it! For those of you who don't know, we are expecting our second baby. We'll find out if it's a boy or girl next month. Just a short entry to say hello. I hope to post lots of pictures and videos to keep everyone posted with us, especially Louis, and him growing up so fast! Love and prayer to all.
